The University of Comoros: The University of Comoros (In France: Université des Comores) is a higher education establishment located in Mvouni a locality near Moroni, the capital of Comoros.
In April 1998, Abdou Mhoumadi, then Minister of Education, signed the project of the University of Comoros, Created in 2003 by the will of President Azali Assoumani, the university welcomes a large majority of Comorian baccalaureate holders who previously had to travel to other countries to continue their higher education. The first president of the Comoros university is Damir Ben the work of creating and setting up this institution was carried out by a “Committee for reflection, action, and monitoring for the establishment of the University of the Comoros” (CRASUC). This committee was supported by an expert committee made up of 10 people, all with the strong university experience.
