It is an ideal village in Bangladesh. To me it is a foster child of nature which gives me immense pleasure and reminds me of the oft-quoted lines of the poet :

Our village is the best
To which I go with full zest
Enjoying amidst nature,
With no worries about the future

Every family has a garden near the dwelling house. Flower-plants and fruit-trees are grown there. Most of the villagers earn their livelihood by selling surplus fruits and vegetables. So to speak, it helps them economically. But the most noteworthy thing about our native village is its natural beauties and ecological bounties. I, sometimes, feel like saying like the poet :

With the trees, we reside,
With animals right beside.
With the birds chirping,

With rivers flowing.

The people in my village are very gentle. They live in perfect harmony with one another. There is no clash among the different castes. Eiders are respected and obeyed, and the under-dogs are not exploited and hated. Ours is a progressive village. I am very proud of being a son of such a village. On the whole, It is a paradise for us. The poet echoes :

May rocks and mountains from their seats be torn
And clouds and darkness shroud the face of morn,
If I forget this favorite piece of earth,
The lovely village that proclaimed my birth.
